SCHOOL LAW: Governance II

Governance II is a review of fundamental issues of governance that affect the charter school board members ability to function as a cooperate body for student success. Effective charter school boards are critical to the success of the charter school. Participants will review:

  1. Texas law that governs School Boards (TEC§11.051)
  2.  Seven issues that impact governance and cause problems for charter boards
  3. Complete a self-assessment on the board’s effectiveness to identify target areas of strengths and weaknesses.

This course may only be taken one (1) time for credit. The course Certificate of Completion will only show the original date of completion.
