This online course is designed to introduce participants to the theory and practice of teaching early reading. This courses will provide insight into proper teaching techniques, strategies, data-driven decisions and assessment for reading development. This course will also assist participants with preparation for the Science of Teaching Reading (STR) exam.  

The CERTification at Region 10 Program is a state-accredited alternative certification program that provides an opportunity for qualified individuals to gain Texas teacher certification. This course is a component of the CERTification Program requirements.
