Job Coaching

If you are a teacher, a transition specialist or VAC responsible for Work-Based Learning or Community Based Vocational Instruction it is suggested that you take the on-line course on Job Negotiation prior to taking this course. The role of the job coach is to support instruction at a vocational assessment or training site so that the student will learn employment skills and “belong” at the job site. The students should be seen as individual workers, and not part of a class or a special “project”. The success of the job coach is dependent on the quality of the job negotiation and knowing how to prompt and fade support.
